Madrid Makes New Eden Hazard Chelsea Return Option Following Chelsea New Decision on Antonio Rudiger

Chelsea are reportedly planning to cash in Antonio Rudiger against the wishes of manager Thomas Tuchel.

The Germany international has established himself as a key member of Tuchel’s backline over the past 18 months, but he is now in the final year of his contract with the Champions League holders.

Rudiger has previously talked up the prospect of signing a new deal at Stamford Bridge, but a recent report claimed that the Blues are struggling to convince him to put pen to paper.

Now, La Colina de Nervion claims that Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is prepared to part ways with Rudiger in January should no contract resolution be reached, with Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid all keeping a close eye on developments.

The report adds that Rudiger’s sale could lead Chelsea to reignite their interest in Sevilla’s Jules Kounde, with manager Julen Lopetegui confirming that a suitable offer for the Frenchman did not arrive in the summer.

Rudiger has played every minute of Chelsea’s 2021-22 Premier League campaign so far and boasts seven goals from 155 appearances for the Blues in all competitions.

Real Madrid on the other hand will reportedly listen to offers for Eden Hazard during the January transfer window, as the club prepare to bring Kylian Mbappe to the Bernabeu in 2022.

Los Blancos failed to convince Paris Saint-Germain to sell Mbappe over the summer but are expected to return for the Frenchman either in January or at the end of the season, when he could be available on a free.

According to todofichajes, Carlo Ancelotti’s side are prepared to sell Hazard in order to make room for the World Cup winner to arrive at the club.

The report claims that the capital giants will listen to any offers that might be presented for the former Chelsea attacker during the January transfer window.

Hazard, who still has three years left to run on his contract at the Bernabeu, has scored just five times in 47 appearances for Real Madrid since a big-money move from Chelsea in July 2019.

The 30-year-old was handed a start against Celta Vigo in La Liga on Sunday night but was withdrawn in the 66th minute, and the Belgian’s replacement Eduardo Camavinga went on to net a debut goal.

With Madrid keen interest in Antonio Rudiger, a swap bargain is likely to happen between Chelsea and Real Madrid involving Eden Hazard and Antonio Rudiger
