Borussia Dortmund are bracing themselves for #Chelsea to make a firm move for Erling Haaland. However, the Blues have ‘no hope’ of convincing Dortmund to lower their £150M valuation.
But according to report from Marc Behrenbeck (Sky Germany) Borussia Dortmund have rejected Chelsea’s proposed offer for Erling Haaland which included a part-exchange involving Tammy Abraham or Callum Hudson-Odoi heading the other way as part of a deal.
“Tammy Abraham is not a possibility for Dortmund, Dortmund received the offer and said that he is nowhere near as good as Erling Haaland”
“Talks are ongoing with Chelsea & Dortmund with names for a swap being discussed but I don’t think a deal will happen this year because nobody at Dortmund believes Chelsea will pay £150M (€175M) needed to sign Erling Haaland”
Borussia Dortmund have not received any official bid yet for Haaland. BVB know about Chelsea interest, their position is clear: if a “crazy” bid won’t arrive, he’ll stay.
If Haaland stays, the race will be open to many clubs next summer – €75m release clause.
Mean while, Arsenal are interested in Tammy Abraham who Chelsea have already offered to a number of clubs as part of their search for a new striker.
Chelsea would preferably like to find a buyer for Abraham, who they value at £40million, before committing to a big-money bid for one of their main striker targets.
