The 34-year-old will travel to Milan to undergo a medical and will be confirmed as the San Siro side’s latest signing.

What has been said?
“Yes, [Giroud] should arrive tomorrow,” Maldini told DAZN.

Chelsea Duo Expected to Depart Club This Summer

Chelsea duo Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are expected to depart the club this summer, according to reports.

The 2021/22 season is just weeks ago and the Blues have started to return to pre-season training ahead of their first friendly against Peterborough United on Saturday morning.

Lots of the first-team squad are yet to return but loanees have reported back to Cobham for duty including Barkley and Loftus-Cheek following their loan spells at Aston Villa and Fulham respectively.

Thomas Tuchel will oversee his squad in pre-season and make his decisions over players’ futures at the club. But Barkley and Loftus-Cheek could be heading out for the exit door.

According to James Robson, Barkley and Loftus-Cheek are expected to leave the club this summer, either on loan or permanent deals should the Blues find buyers.

It had been previously reported Loftus-Cheek would be given a chance by Tuchel, but should an attractive offer come in, the 25-year-old will be allowed to leave.

After returning to Cobham, Loftus-Cheek said “fighting is a way of life”, hinting that he wants to remain in west London.

Tuchel compared him to former Blue Michael Ballack. Back in April, he also confirmed no decision had been made on his future, however that could have potentially changed now.

Chelsea ‘set £25m asking price for Kurt Zouma’

Chelsea have reportedly put a valuation of £25m on central defender Kurt Zouma.

The 26-year-old featured on 36 occasions for the Blues during the 2020-21 campaign, but he struggled for regular starts in the second half of the campaign.

Zouma’s current deal at Stamford Bridge is due to expire in June 2023, and a recent report claimed that Everton and Tottenham Hotspur were keen on his services.

Roma have also been credited with an interest in the Frenchman, who has made 150 appearances for Chelsea since arriving at the club from Saint-Etienne in 2014.

According to RMC Sport, the London outfit have set an asking price of £25m for the central defender, who was a part of the France squad for Euro 2020.

The report claims that Roma are keen on a loan deal for Zouma, but Chelsea would not be interested in allowing him to leave on a short-term basis in the current market.

The defender has previously had loan spells at Saint-Etienne, Stoke City and Everton.

Chelsea ‘hoping to raise £90m by selling first-team trio’

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to sell Callum Hudson-Odoi, Hakim Ziyech and Tammy Abraham during this summer’s transfer window in order to fund a move for Erling Braut Haaland.

The Blues continue to be linked with Haaland, although it remains to be seen whether Borussia Dortmund sanction the Norwegian’s exit in the current market.

Any deal is likely to cost Thomas Tuchel’s side at least £150m, and according to Bild, the Champions League winners are hoping to raise around £90m by selling Hudson-Odoi, Ziyech and Abraham.

Hudson-Odoi found it difficult to make his mark at Stamford Bridge during the 2020-21 campaign, managing just five goals in 37 appearances in all competitions.

Ziyech, meanwhile, scored six goals and registered four assists in 39 appearances for the Blues following his arrival from Ajax last summer.

Abraham – linked with Aston Villa and West Ham United – netted 12 times last season but fell out of favour following Tuchel’s arrival in January.
